I was going to do this long diatribe on why online dating sucks big hairy donkey balls... but I got bored writing it so I know you would get bored reading it.... let's just suffice it to say that I have NEVER met a quality man (who wants to date me) while doing the online dating thing... I'm going to let the subscriptions I have run out and then go back to doing it the old fashioned way...
Well hell what is the old fashioned way? for me it was asking the cute boy in third period American Lit if he wanted to go to the movies with me.... or asking that guy who works over in the other department on our floor if he wants to grab some coffee at lunch.. Since I'm not 16 any more and the only available dude I work with is the Office Asshole; I really have no idea what I'm doing... Any hints? Anyone got any ideas? HELP!!!
I'll leave with the funniest damn thing I have seen all week:

The old fashioned way is better I think. If you get an apple for the price you pay for the Internet and someone offers you a barrel of apples for the same price, at first, you'd take the barrel... But if all the apples in the barrel are rotten... You may want to switch to pears. LOL.
Patience is the key. Really! The Internet can be a good thing. I've met a few awesome people through it. Not date-able but awesome nonetheless. But until then, there's always frequenting venues (not necessarily bars) comparable to the type of people you're looking to meet. The Internet can actually help with that. You're annoutdoor kind of girl... Dog walks and kid playgrounds in sportsparks come to mind... Rockin' Morroccans may just be bountiful.

big hairy donkey balls? Yikes!
As for dating on line.. I've done it off and on for the past 12 years. In the beginning it was fun.. I had no inhibitions about it back then. I think as you gain experience it'll be more fun and less work. AND Then you'll really get tired of it!
I'm staying away from the dudes from the past! Although I'd love to run into Robert, Ellis, Ray, Juan, Eric. Especially Robert. Especially Eric. Especially Juan. Especially Eric. Lordy! Don't take me that far back.
We should have a party. Looking for Mr. Good boy! Where do you live? Navy towns are good for meeting guys, you know?
Erma: I'm begining to think that maybe there are no more single guys in this world... *sigh* I know that patience is the key, but really the only two things I have patience with are my son and my dog.. LOL
Jackie: I live in an Air Force Town... Viva Las Vegas!! You would think I would meet a ton of single guys here... Seems like the requirement to get into the airforce these days is that you be married...
Oh! One more thought.. I believe the most quality person I have ever met online was found on eHarmony. He lived long distance from me..but he drove here to visit one weekend. There was much potential except to grow our friendship, but the 5 hour drive wore him out and he complained about it just before his trip back. And it was Valentines week.. when he visited. His complaining was a turn off.. I gave him the out, after he was back home and calling me again.
My point is.. for the money a short term eHarmony investment might be worth while. It's not cheap!! But there really is a connection to the person on a DEEPER level.
Good article keep posting this type of articles..............
